All our events are professionally produced and equipped from a comforting country wedding, to a thousand attendee auction.
Mike Baskett, Owner and Lead DJ & MC
Mike began his musical endeavors in the 6th grade, where he learned to play classical violin. After graduating high school Mike started a professional audio rental company which successfully ran for nearly a decade, providing sound reinforcement to hundreds of music festivals and concerts throughout the Northwest. Following the path from renting audio equipment in the EDM and Hip Hop circles, Mike became a DJ and played 100’s of shows across the west coast of North America. Mike also worked for 20 years in the home theater and professional audio industry working for some of the Northwests most illustrious clientele. This is where Around the Sound's passion for innovation and excitement was created. Mike now spends his free time volunteering as DJ, MC & Commentator for the Tilted Thunder Rail Birds, the Northwest’s only banked track roller derby league, and helping his wife at MEOW Cat Rescue, a non-profit that she manages.
